Bundamba Advanced Water Treatment Plant

The Bundamba Advanced Water Treatment Plant (AWTP) is a key component of the Queensland Government's Western Corridor Recycled Water (WCRW) Project. Thiess Pty Ltd, in a joint venture with Black & Veatch and the Department of Infrastructure, is responsible for the design and construction of this world-class advanced water treatment plant.

Located near Ipswich, 40km west of Brisbane, the Bundamba AWTP is designed to alleviate pressure on South-East Queensland's existing dams and waterways by providing an alternate water supply for end users in the region. Initially this alternate supply will be from the Swanbank Power Station.

Multifix is responsible for the construction of the major concrete structures on the project including the pre-treatment facility, treated water tank, overflow attenuation tank, MF-RO building, as well as other pump stations and associated concrete structures.

Concrete approximately 20,000 cu.m.

Formwork area approx 30,000 sq.m
